Where the Welwyn Garden City Base Is
The Herts Car Keys base is at Peartree Farm on Peartree Lane, in the Peartree industrial area off Bessemer Road, on the east side of Welwyn Garden City. There is no drive to this town, because the van starts here.
The East Coast Main Line runs north to south through the middle of the town and the crossings are limited, so a job on the Handside side and a job on the Peartree side are two different runs even though the map shows a short distance. Darius states the arrival time on the phone with the price.
The A1(M) runs along the western edge and the A414 along the southern edge, which is how every other town on the round is reached from here.
Car Key Work Covered in Welwyn Garden City
Six types of auto locksmith work are available in Welwyn Garden City, each finished at the vehicle.
- Replacement car keys. Cut at the vehicle and paired to the immobiliser, which is the car key replacement work the St Albans page sets out in full.
- All keys lost. A key built from the vehicle itself when nothing is left to copy, at a home, a works unit or the roadside.
- Car lockouts. The car is opened using non destructive entry methods designed to avoid damage to the door, the lock and the glass.
- Spare keys. Cut and, where required, programmed while the original still works, at the lower of the two prices.
- Van and light commercial keys. Covered on the same visit as car keys, for supported vehicles.
- Fob and ignition faults. A remote that locks the doors but leaves the engine dead, or a key binding in the barrel, is tested before anything is quoted.
